Smell it... Speak it... Pinch it...  Love it... How might you relate to the Canadian goldenrod? Come participate in the making of an artwork for Goldenrod, an exhibition by ZHENG Bo, in the inaugural Fall 2019 exhibition of the ICA at NYU Shanghai!  Propose a new way to relate to an undesirable plant and write it on the gallery wall. One proposal will be added for each day of the exhibition.  Open to everyone! 

Write to shanghai.ica@nyu.edu with "72 Relations" in the subject line and your name and preferred day of the week and time (Tuesday – Saturday,11:00 OR 17:00) to visit the gallery in the body of the e-mail.  ICA at NYU Shanghai staff will respond to confirm your participation.

Goldenrod and its related events are presented as the first season of The (Invisible) Garden, a two-year artistic research program that inquires into the garden as a method that shapes our understanding of Nature and our relationships to other species. For four seasons, from Fall 2019 through Spring 2021, the ICA at NYU Shanghai will present artists, thinkers, and practitioners, through exhibitions, events, and a publication, to consider the garden and ask how might we denature Nature?
