Textiles carry traces of the body, labor, and emotion—they are often overlooked but deeply present in the lived experiences of women. In this workshop, independent creator ZHU Lina, whose long-term practice explores fabric and the body through creation and fieldwork, will share stories from her engagements with cloth in different communities. From family histories sewn into clothes to the emotional weight of worn materials, participants are invited to reflect on how textiles record lives beyond written words.

The session includes storytelling inspired by fabric, open discussion around memory and the body, and a simple, hands-on weaving activity. Together, we’ll explore how textiles can serve as containers of experience, memory, and herstory.

No prior experience is needed. Participants are invited to bring any type of fabric or textile and share its story or memories with the group.

Participants are invited to join the workshop after the 12:45 screening of The World of Lines.
