This Fall 2020 season, to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, and in accordance with NYU Shanghai guidelines, the ICA gallery is open to the NYU Shanghai community only and temporarily closed to the public until further notice.  

All visitors may access the VR exhibition tour on the ICA website.

All visitors may join ICA events online, while some events held in the ICA gallery will open to the NYU Shanghai community only.  

We will re-evaluate our plan regularly and may adjust our visitor policy and opening hours throughout the Fall 2020 season.  For further updates, please check the ICA website, subscribe to our mailing list, or follow us on social media below.

Enter through the north entrance facing Songlin Road.  Everyone entering campus must present a “green” health QR code and be screened for their body temperature and visible symptoms of coughing, stuffy/runny nose, and/or shortness of breath. 

Walk south through the main lobby, towards the other side of the building and towards the south exit facing Century Avenue. The ICA gallery entrance is located next to the security gates.

Everyone must wear a mask and maintain a physical distance of at least one meter away from other visitors.

All exhibition handouts are available in print or by scanning a QR code to read via personal mobile devices. 

While frequently touched surfaces are regularly cleaned, hand washing before and after your visit is strongly encouraged.  Hand sanitizer will also be provided.

If the number of visitors in the gallery space approaches 50% of its carrying capacity, new visitors will be asked to wait to enter or return at a later time.
