STRESSED HERMS, SWEAT, & PERIOD GAS., an exhibition by Candice Lin and Patrick Staff, is available for viewing as a 360º video tour.  Instructions on how to view via desktop, mobile device, and VR headset are outlined below.

You can explore a 360° video with your arrow keys, mouse, or trackpad. In the player, you’ll see a compass that indicates the direction you are facing in the video.

MOBILE DEVICE AND APP:

Click on the YouTube logo in the video, embedded in the banner above or in the Documents below, to redirect to the YouTube mobile app.  Watch the video directly from YouTube mobile app, with 2160s or 4K image quality settings. 

NOTE:  If you are in mainland China and without a VPN, you will not be able to access the videos via YouTube. Please visit our Bilibili webpage and redirect to the Bilibili mobile app to view instead.

You can tilt your device to view the 360° video. You can also move through the 360° video by dragging your finger around the screen. 

If you have a VR headset for your mobile device (such as Google Cardboard), then click on the "cardboard" icon in the video player, before inserting into the headset.

VR HEADSET: 

Install and open the YouTube VR or VeeR apps on your VR headset, search for our YouTube (name: ICA at NYU Shanghai) or VeeR accounts (name: ICA_NYU Shanghai) and stream the 360º video without downloading.

If your VR headset is not compatible with YouTube or VeeR apps, then download from our ICA account page on Vimeo as a UHD 4K video and manually sideload into your headset. NOTE:  If you are in mainland China and without a VPN, you will not be able to access the videos via Vimeo.

STRESSED HERMS, SWEAT, & PERIOD GAS. and its related events are presented as the third season of The (Invisible) Garden, the ICA’s 2019-21 artistic research program that inquires into the garden as a method that shapes our understanding of Nature and our relationships to other species. For four seasons, from Fall 2019 through Spring 2021, the ICA at NYU Shanghai will present artists, thinkers, and practitioners, through exhibitions and events, to consider the garden and ask how might we denature Nature?
